MORE RAINY DAY INSPIRATIONS

MORE RAINY DAY INSPIRATIONS

Because I live in high desert country, rain holds a strong attraction for me. We need rain to replenish our water supply, but unfortunately, the umbrella that I keep in my car is rarely used. Most of our days are sunny and dry with a strong wind coming from the North.

“Trees on the Street” which is at the top of the page, shows raindrops falling amongst the streetlights that are lit in the daytime overcast and a bus makes its way through the lines of cars.

“Night Scene” is the same street from a different viewpoint with streetlights lit in the dark and raindrops falling.

There was a Chinatown in Reno at one time that completely burned down. My “Rainy Day in Chinatown” is my imagining of what that area would have looked like if it had survived.

These are the last of my series of rain paintings that I will be sharing. All of these have sold, but 13 x 19 inch prints of them are available for a nominal price and I would send you a free 4x6 signed print if you sign up for my art newsletter.

If you like what I am writing here, sign up for my art newsletter that comes out once a month. In it I share my most current work and offer discounts of work that you may purchase directly from me. Email me at tricialeonardstudio@gmail.com to become a newsletter subscriber or purchase a print.
