French Street

My latest watercolor batik, “French Street” is awash in color! I got brave with the difficult job of adding colors to a batik. The problem is that each color that is added needs to be superimposed on every other color already on the painting. Trying to do this and not end up with mud is a challenge! If you look back at my previous batiks, you will see a progression that moves to more color with each painting. This piece is 14x17 on rice paper and sells for $500.
