American Girls

"American Girls" is a tribute to the generations of women that I have come from. There are six generations in this piece: my great great grandmother, my great grandmother, my grandmother, my aunt (who technically is in the same generation as my mother but was 16 years older), my mother and my sister. All were strong, resilient and beautiful. They were all born in the US but spanned the middle and far West including Nebraska, Wyoming, California and then back to Colorado. I owe much to this creative and inventive group of women. My artistic proclivities come from these roots. I would love to share this heritage with my viewers. This piece is 24x36 on canvas and with mixed media. It sells for $880.
