Medicine Moon

This mixed media acrylic piece is part of my Indigenous Art series. It is created using a combination of different collage materials including feathers, beads, and metal sheeting. It will be featured at the Rock Art Show at the Artist's Co-op of Reno in July. The Rock Art show is a benefit for the foundation that records Indian petroglyphs in Nevada.30% of the sales of art during the month is donated to this organization. Through the Rock Art Foundation, artists work with Bureau of Land Management personnel to record and document ancient Indian marks in Nevada. Without the work of this group of dedicated people, many of the Indian symbols and drawings would be lost to future generations.
