Newspaper Toucan

This is a playful piece that I prepared for my acrylics class. It is created on illustration board using gesso as a barrier. I then added newspaper collage pieces to highlight the light values then went in with my acrylic paints to finish the bird. The background was created using stencils and modeling compound as well as more paint. This was a fun piece to do! It is available and for sale At $250 for the 15x20 piece.
