Under Water
This painting is a small piece (8x8) that I did as an example of “faux encaustics” for my acrylics class. This technique consists of layering paint and mediums to build up a thick surface with lots of texture. I added stenciled letters and images to add interest. The appearance of the piece suggested water rising and engulfing the letters. It could also express how I feel when trying to learn a new language…definitely under water. The price of this painting done on encaustic board is $175. Contact me at triciastudio@att.net if you are interested.
